Pendant luminaires – function
Pendant luminaires are attached to the ceiling using a wire attachment, and are available in several different designs and color choices.

Pendant luminaires can be used in many different store solutions and aim to create a pleasant functional and general light. Over a checkout counter, it is important to have a clear light that emits an even spread, which makes pendant luminaires a natural choice for the purpose. Some of our pendant luminaires come with a cable that makes it possible to lower the luminaire to the desired level, including PrioBEAM. For PrioBEAM there are two different cable kits of either 4 or 8 meters that allow it to be used in premises with high ceilings.
In office environments, pendant luminaires can advantageously be used to create a comfortable working environment that, for example, does not dazzle employees. A well-planned lighting plan can create increased comfort for the staff in an office and serve as an aid for employees to perform their tasks. Versatile pendant luminaires for shops,
offices and public spaces
A luminaire is what you attach the light sources to, i.e. the lamp itself with different shaped designs and also the suspension device. Luminaires that sit flush with the ceiling and are flat, with no visible cord, are called ceiling pendants. It is very common to have a lamp that hangs down from the ceiling, i.e. like a pendant, and these are pendant luminaires. This is a very versatile luminaire that can be used in various shops, offices, department stores and public spaces.
For shops
There are many different types of hanging ceiling lights for shops, from industrial designs with bare bulbs to old-fashioned lights with fabric lampshades. When buying a ceiling light to hang from the ceiling, it’s a good idea to consider the ceiling height. If it’s a shop with very low ceilings, the lamp may hang so that customers hit their heads, in which case it may be better to choose a ceiling light.
Among the wide range of pendant luminaires, you can get both spotlighting using narrow metal shades or a soft diffused light via e.g. globe-shaped, matt lamps. Lighting design can be used to set the mood of a store.

Lighting and fixtures are part of the interior design of a space, both practically and aesthetically. In offices, fluorescent luminaires can provide good working light that meets legal requirements. Pendant luminaires can be purchased in variants with energy-efficient LED lighting. The lamps can also be equipped with motion activation so that the office lighting is only on at full strength when people are in the room.
